On the night of June 20–21, drone attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted Russian-annexed Crimea, resulting in significant damage to critical infrastructure. According to reports, the Kerch port experienced a fire at a terminal used for oil product storage, while defense forces intercepted multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) near Sevastopol.

Impact on Infrastructure and Defensive Response

Mikhail Razvozhaev, the Russian-appointed governor of Sevastopol, confirmed that military units were actively repelling the Ukrainian drone assault, deploying both air defense systems and mobile fire groups. He reported that four UAVs were shot down in the Balaklava and Fiolent cape areas. Preliminary information suggests no casualties have been reported.

"The military is working to destroy enemy UAVs using various weapons, including small arms," Razvozhaev stated.

Additionally, traffic across the Crimean Bridge was temporarily halted, with authorities urging travelers to comply with security instructions. The disruption to this vital transport link highlights the broader operational impact of the attacks.

Targeted Facilities and Broader Damage

Telegram channels monitoring the situation reported a fire at the TPP Terminal in the Kerch industrial zone. This complex serves as a railway transshipment and storage facility for petroleum products and liquefied gas. There are also indications that the Port Kavkaz area may have been affected.

Other incidents include fires in the settlement of Kurortnoe, where an air defense site is located, and in the vicinity of military unit No. 98546 near Kerch. Earlier, on June 20, a mass drone attack resulted in multiple fires across Crimea, affecting the Tavricheskaya Thermal Power Station, oil and gas storage facilities, as well as gas distribution stations and several bridges and crossings.

Financial and Operational Implications

These attacks pose considerable risks to regional infrastructure critical for energy supply chains and transportation networks. The Kerch port and its associated oil product terminals are key nodes in Crimea's logistics and energy importation systems. Disruptions here could affect fuel availability and increase operational costs for enterprises dependent on these routes.

Moreover, damage to energy facilities such as thermal power plants and gas distribution could impose higher recovery expenses and influence regional energy prices. Investors and stakeholders should monitor the repair timelines and operational status updates closely, as these incidents may impact asset valuations and the broader regional economic stability.
